Shifani asked:

Many people claim Olympics are a waste of money, talking about political power, the corruption and commercialism.

But I need to also know the other side of the argument- how Olympics are definitely NOT a waste of money?

Please provide as many points for this view as possible; please mention only positive points, on how Olympics can be beneficial and a GOOD THING for society, the world etc.

The one time that all nations come together put their country no matter how large or her national anthem played before the glory of their differences aside and hearing his or small has an equal chance of winning and in 1916 during wwii.
