Money talks and justice walks?

money talks
Patrick asked:

Example: Crime trial of O.J. Simpson in the murder case in California.

Even if O.J. wouldn’t have been famous, the number of his high-paid lawyers decided the case to his favor.
In the second trial at the civil court, however, he lost and he needed to pay.
Later in the trial of another case in Las Vegas where he was involved he lost his freedom and he was sentenced to many years in jail. However, if this would have been his first trial in his life, then “Money talks and justice walks” would have worked. Proof for this assumption: See his first trial.

My question is whether “Money talks and justice walks” only works the first time and then no more?
